About Proprietor
Proprietor is a Heavy Metal band performing a modern take on classic metal sounds. The band sets out to write songs that resonate with listeners while still having a wide appeal in the form of big choruses, catchy vocal lines and memorable riffs.
Formed by James Garbett in April 2019 after a short stint with another band, he left and took the bassist and drummer with him into a new project named "Proprietor".

After calling Adam Osborn, Proprietor became a four piece cover band primarily focusing on metal classics such as Metallica's "Master of Puppets" and Diamondhead's "Am I Evil?".
​
Once a final lineup had been settled after a few back and forth changes for the position of bass player, the band finally welcomed Jake Nicholls-Forrest (Bigman) into the band with open arms in October of 2020. They publicly announced his integration into the band with their music video for their cover of John Carpenter's Halloween which released on the 31st of October 2020.
The bands fifth and silent member and mascot was also introduced
in the same month with a Facebook post, the caption of which was
"Meet Sid". Sid remains a silent character whose motives and purpose
within the band remain unknown, yet he has appeared multiple times
through various posts and images from the band.

Many attempts to start the writing process for original music have taken place since the bands formation, the first attempt being in June of 2019. The band now stands with a vast catalogue of original music ready to be revisited and recorded properly for follow up projects to their April 2021 debut album "WARPATH". Along with many covers they wish to pay respect to as a nod to their roots.

Adam joined Proprietor at the start of the bands formation in April 2019 and has planted his feet hard and remained a member since. Adam has contributed heavily to the band in many ways.

James formed Proprietor after spending time in his first project "Thy Hearse" and wanting to do better, electing to leave the old band behind and move on with a clean slate. Taking up the mantle of lead vocals after forming Proprietor.

Owen joined the band immediately after its founding. He played with James in their previous band 'Thy Hearse' and left at the same time ​due to the chemistry between himself and James. After a short stint out of the band he's back in full force again.

Bigman joined the band in October 2020 as the band began work on a cover and music video for John Carpenter's Halloween Theme.
He has remained an important member of the band ever since.
